Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Uzcharmsanoat Association, at the head of a delegation from its member enterprises, took part in the Uzbekistan-UAE business forum organized as part of the EXPO-2020 World Exhibition in Dubai.

This business forum, first of all, opens up great opportunities for the development of trade and economic ties between the two countries, contributes to the strengthening of strategic cooperation and the wide attraction of investments from the United Arab Emirates to our country.

As you know, the UAE in the world market is a "gateway" for the Arab and African countries, and for Europe and the Asian region - a trade bridge. Leather and footwear products here are completely imported from abroad. For this reason, the UAE is a good market for Uzbekistan.

During the business forum, the Uzcharmsanoat Association held a presentation for investors and financial organizations in the UAE on the production, investment and export potential of the industry. It is worth noting that since 2021, Uzbek manufacturers began to export shoes to Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Abu Dhabi.

For example, the KFK shoes brand from the Andijan region has reached an agreement to export men’s shoes to Abu Dhabi. Product samples have already been sent. In addition, the products of the MRR New Star 2020 enterprise, located in the Bukhara region, are already being sold in retail chains of major cities in the UAE.

In general, at B2B meetings within the framework of the business forum, representatives of the wholesale and large retail chains of the UAE, as well as investors, showed great interest in the leather and footwear industry of our country. Steps have been taken to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
