Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - On 26 May 2021, in Ashgabat, during the visit of the delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the following were signed:

- Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of Turkmenistan on the Joint Uzbek-Turkmen Intergovernmental Commission on Water Management Issues;

- Additional agreement to the Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of Turkmenistan on paid land use.

From the Uzbek side, the documents were signed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulaziz Kamilov, from the Turkmen side - by the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov.

They expressed confidence that the signing of these documents will serve as a further breakthrough in the joint exploitation of transboundary water resources on a rational and fair basis, in the spirit of friendship and good neighborliness.
