Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A Presidential resolution “On strengthening the protection of motherhood and childhood in 2022-2026” was adopted.
The resolution approved the Plan of Measures to Strengthen the Protection of Motherhood and Childhood in 2022–2026.
According to the document will be created:
Children’s Medical Cluster in Nukus through the new construction of the building of the Children’s Multidisciplinary Medical Center;
neonatal intensive care units in 46 new inter-district perinatal centers being created;
from 1 May 2022, children’s departments in multidisciplinary central polyclinics of districts (cities) and family polyclinics in Tashkent;
departments of anesthesiology and resuscitation of children, as well as round-the-clock pediatric posts of emergency medical care in medical associations of districts (cities) within the framework of existing staff units;
reference laboratories for early diagnosis of hereditary genetic, including orphan, diseases in children at the Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center for Pediatrics, as well as its 17 regional laboratories.
Also, in 2022-2023, a total of 29 emergency perinatal and emergency pediatric mobile resuscitation teams on duty will be organized in the Republican Perinatal Center, perinatal centers and children’s multidisciplinary medical centers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions and the city of Tashkent.
From 1 May 2022, free meals will be introduced for people (parents and others) caring for sick children who are being treated at the Center for Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Clinical Immunology.
The resolution also introduced amendments and additions to some legislative acts.
