Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan is planning to introduce measures aimed at regulating the organization of weddings, family celebrations, and traditional ceremonies.

These initiatives will be implemented as part of the Presidential Decree "On Measures for the Effective Implementation of Priority Tasks for Further Improving the Anti-Corruption System."

According to the approved list of regulatory legal acts to be developed under the decree, a joint resolution of the chambers of the Oliy Majlis is expected to be adopted by August of this year. This resolution will streamline the procedures for holding wedding ceremonies, family events, memorial meals, and traditional rituals.

In addition, public awareness and educational campaigns will be intensified to promote a culture of reasonable spending among citizens and to discourage excessive extravagance when organizing celebrations.
