Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 29 July, Uzbekistan will receive 3 million doses of Moderna coronavirus vaccine from the United States. This was reported by the Dunyo agency.
The vaccines will be allocated through the COVAX program of the World Health Organization and delivered to Uzbekistan on 29 July by a special flight from the US state of Alabama.
According to the Embassy of Uzbekistan, the United States has donated 3 million doses of vaccines against the coronavirus to Moderna.
According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Moderna’s vaccine can prevent COVID-19 infection with over 94% efficacy.
Moderna offers a vaccine that can be stored at normal refrigerated temperatures to facilitate subsequent distribution across all regions of Uzbekistan.
