Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan will participate in certain EAEU initiatives. The leaders of the delegations of the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council signed a corresponding instruction on Friday in Nur-Sultan.

“We considered the initiative of the Republic of Uzbekistan on participation in the work of the EAEU on individual projects, taking into account the status of an observer state,” said Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov following the meeting.

Uzbekistan received observer status in the organization in December 2020. Last year, President Mirziyoyev proposed more active involvement of observer states in the implementation of important business initiatives and programs in the Eurasian space.
