Uzbekistan to invest US$48.3m to infrastructure development of Jizzakh special industrial zone
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Government of Uzbekistan adopted a resolution “On measures on rapid development of transport, production and engineering-communal infrastructure of Jizzakh special industrial zone for 2013-2015”.

With its resolution, the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan approved a programme on rapid development of transport, production and engineering-communal infrastructure of Jizzakh special industrial zone for 2013-2015.

According to the programme, Uzbekistan will implement 17 projects worth US$48.316 million in 2013-2018. The volume of investments will make up US$29.489 million in 2013-2015.

Within the programme, it is planned to implement five projects on road development for US$20.335 million and three projects on railway infrastructure development worth US$2.256 million.

Uzbekistan plans to implement five projects on water supply, irrigation and sewerage system. Total cost of the projects is US$24.807 million.

Two projects on development of electricity network for US$406,700 and two projects on gas supply development for US$507,100 will be implemented at Jizzakh special industrial zone.

The projects will be financed due resources of the state budget for US$21.372 million, own resources of the enterprises – US$2.946 million and international financial institutions – 4.596 million.
