Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The government of Uzbekistan has adopted a resolution aimed at supporting farmers engaged in rice cultivation.

Under this initiative, rice farmers in Khorezm region will receive additional subsidies for purchasing specialized equipment.

State financial support will cover land leveling costs for rice fields, as well as the acquisition of seeders and transplanting equipment. This subsidy program will remain in effect until the end of 2026.

Specifically, expenses for fuel and lubricants used in land leveling will be reimbursed up to 1 million soums per hectare, while farmers purchasing seeders will receive a 20% cost reimbursement.

To facilitate the subsidy process, working groups will be established in districts. Farmers can apply through the “Agrosubsidiya” system by submitting the necessary documents.

Applications for land leveling compensation must be submitted within five days after the work is completed, while applications for equipment subsidies can be filed within a year of purchase.

After submission, a working group will conduct an on-site inspection within three working days for land leveling and five days for equipment purchases. If no violations are found, a report will be sent to the Ministry of Agriculture.

The ministry will review the documents within three working days and decide on the approval or rejection of the subsidy. If approved, the funds will be transferred to the farmer’s primary bank account.
