Uzbekistan to increase construction of affordable houses

On 22 January, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree “On state program for Implementation of the Strategy of Action for the five priority development directions of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021 in the Year of Support of Active Business, Innovative Ideas and Technologies."

The decree noted that in order to meet demand of the population, especially of young families, in the affordable housing in 2018, the volume of construction of affordable houses will increase by 1.5-2 times.

For these purposes, it is planned to direct over 5.28 trillion soums.
