Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The President of Uzbekistan has issued a decree on additional measures to enhance land use efficiency and increase agricultural production.

Under the new regulations, effective from 11 March 2025, the following changes will apply to the leasing of agricultural land:

The announcement period for electronic online auctions will be reduced from 15 to 5 days, while for repeat auctions, it will decrease from 5 to 1 day.

If only one bid is submitted during a repeat auction, the applicant will be offered the land at the listed price. Additionally, the lot price will decrease by 10% at each repeat auction, with a maximum reduction of 20% from the starting price.

Starting from 1 April 2025, online auctions will no longer offer installment payments for land lease fees or discounts for full upfront payments. All payments must now be made in full within 15 business days.

Between 2025 and 2026, 10–20% of Uzbekistan’s total agricultural land will be auctioned online, with a mandatory condition that these plots be used for fodder crop cultivation.
