Uzbekistan to face Japan in semis of Qatar tournament

Syria and Japan booked their places in the semifinals of the 8th international friendly tournament in Doha, Qatar, on 15 January.
Syria recorded 1-0 victory over the UAE thanks to goal of Mohammed Fares. Syria topped the group B with 7 points.
Yamamura Kazuya’s double in the first half of the match helped Japan to claim three points against Serbia. Japan won 3-2 to move to the second place in the group.
On 18 January, Uzbekistan, group A winners, will face Japan, while Syria will take on host and runner-ups of group A Qatar.
