Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan will establish a Research Support Fund aimed at fostering analytical and scientific research activities.

The initiative is outlined in the Presidential Decree on additional measures for organizing analytical and research activities.

The fund will operate under the Coordination Council, which oversees the work of analytical and research institutions.

Funding will come from special accounts within the Fund for Reconstruction and Development, with the Coordination Council responsible for allocating and managing these resources. The council will also ensure transparency and efficiency in the use of funds.

On 31 December, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev approved a decree focused on strategic analysis and research in the social, political, and economic development of the country, as reported by the Ministry of Justice.

Under this decree, the Coordination Council has been established to manage analytical and research institutions, providing the president with long-term analytical materials and policy recommendations on domestic and foreign affairs.
