Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 22 November, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed an order "On organizational measures to develop a program of administrative reforms in New Uzbekistan for 2022-2023."
In accordance with the document, the Republican Commission was formed to coordinate the development of the program of administrative reforms.
Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov and Chief of Staff of the Presidential Administration of Uzbekistan Zaynilobiddin Nizomiddinov headed the new commission.
Working groups are also being created, which are headed by ministers. The working groups will develop proposals on determining the status, improving the structures and optimization of the staffing units of government bodies, on the development of digital technologies, openness and public-private partnerships in the activities of government bodies, on improving their human resources, etc.
The working groups must prepare comprehensively substantiated proposals and submit them to the Administration of the President of Uzbekistan by 20 January 2022.
In accordance with the document, the members of the working groups are completely relieved of their duties at the main place of work, while maintaining all the conditions established by law.
Members of the working groups will study the experience of developed countries, as well as recommendations and proposals of international institutions. They will also make short-term business trips to other states.
In turn, the Republican Commission must consider all proposals by 10 February 2022. The commission will hold a presentation to the President of Uzbekistan in each direction by 20 February.
By 1 March 2022, a draft decree of the President of Uzbekistan will be prepared, envisaging the approval of the "Roadmap" for the implementation of administrative reforms for 2022-2023.
