Uzbekistan to create population, legal entities databases

The databases will be developed within the work on creation of the Electronic Government in Uzbekistan.

The paper said that general information about all of Uzbekistan’s residents, non-residents and people without citizenship permanently living in Uzbekistan will be gathered in order to identify them when necessary.

It will be accessible through all information systems, which are directly or indirectly connected with personal data of citizens in their work.

For example, someone is going to a foreign country on holiday. However, he is in debt for alimony or he is not allowed to leave the country for some other reason. A customs officer will be able to immediately provide grounds for denying the right to exit the country even if the traveller has a tourist ticket, it added.

The report said that the database of legal entities will be also created in the country. The database will unite data, stored in various information systems.
