Uzbekistan to create network of station to monitor earthquakes

Uzbekistan will create a network of stations of strong movements of the earth surface till the end of 2015, which will improve the efficiency of warning about earthquakes, Director of the Institute of Seismology of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan Sabriddin Husomiddinov wrote in his article for Norodnoye Slovo newspaper.
Sadriddin Husametdinov said that in order to improve the efficiency of emergency warning on emergency situations related to seismic nature, the network of strong movements of the earth surface will be created by the end of 2015 in cooperation with the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Uzbekistan.
Introduction of the network will allow regional divisions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations to determine power of tremors, while control center – to receive magnitude map by regions in 1-2 minutes, he said.
