Uzbekistan to create consultative centers to develop entrepreneurship

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Consultative centers for rendering assistance to development of entrepreneurship activities will be created in Uzbekistan under the citizens’ self-governing bodies.

Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Finance and the State Tax Committee of Uzbekistan approved a standard regulation on consultative center for rendering assistance to development of entrepreneurship activities under the citizens’ self-governing bodies with their joint resolution.

According to the document, the main goal of the consultative centers is to render information services to citizens, who want to launch their business or have own business.

The centers will organize trainings on legislation on entrepreneurship, accounting, taxation, provide information on preferences to businesses, help to citizens to launch own businesses, etc.

Norma.uz recalled that mahalla committees received right to create consultative centers to help to development of businesses, including family businesses and craftsmanship, in line with new edition of the law “On citizens self-governing bodies” from 22 April 2013.

The regulation set goals and tasks, rights and liabilities, as well as order of creation of the consultative centers.

It sets that each citizens’ self-governing bodies should develop and approve a regulation on consultative center based on the standard regulation.

The consultative centers will not be legal entities and citizens self-governing bodies should finance their work due to own resources, sponsorship assistance of legal entities and individuals, the document said.

The document added that the responsible secretary of the citizens’ self-governing bodies will head the consultative center. Experienced businesses can be members of the organization. The centers can attract specialists of tax bodies, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, commercial banks, and others.

The consultative centers will receive citizens each week on Saturdays.
