Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In 2023, Uzbekistan will continue to increase the size of pensions and benefits. This was stated by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev in his address to the Parliament.

“For the first time in our history, we have raised the size of pensions and social benefits to a level no lower than the minimum consumer spending,” the head of state said.

So, if in 2017 500,000 low-income families received social assistance, today there are more than 2 million, he added.

“The amount of allocated funds increased 7 times and reached 11 trillion soums per year.

“We will also increase the size of pensions and benefits next year,” said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
