Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan Temir Yollari is ready to increase the volume of shipments and contribute to the development of the Agroexpress project. This was reported by the press service of the company.

As part of the Agroexpress project, the first transportation was carried out in November-December 2021. As a pilot shipment, poultry meat was shipped from Russia to Uzbekistan in two refrigerated containers. During this test shipment, all technological and control issues of cargo transportation were worked out.

It should be noted that poultry meat was transported from Russia to Uzbekistan in two refrigerated containers. Fruits and vegetables were loaded from our country by this train and delivered to their destination. During the test shipment, all technological and control issues of cargo transportation were worked out. Also in January of this year, the second batch of poultry meat was delivered from Russia to Uzbekistan in 6 refrigerated containers.

It should be emphasized that Uzbekistan Temir Yollari from 1 January to 31 December 2022 for the transportation of fruits and vegetables and perishable products in 40-foot and over 40-foot refrigerated containers with a net load of no more than 30 tons as part of a container train on a private platforms within the framework of the Agroexpress project from Uzbekistan to Russia and back through the Keles border station along the above route, a special rate of US$ 305 is set for one refrigerated container.

“Today, the main advantages of the Agroexpress service are accelerated delivery of goods, the use of autonomous refrigerated containers that ensure the safety of cargo, simplified customs procedures and continuous real-time dispatch control at each stage of transportation,” says Rustam Mukhamedov, First Deputy Head of the Main Department for the development of logistics and digitalization of Uzbekistan Temir Yollari JSC. - Also, to create convenience, shippers were provided with tariff preferences in the amount of 50% by setting special rates. In particular, the rate for the transportation of goods through the territory of Uzbekistan is US$305, in Kazakhstan - US$550 and in Russia - US$528.
