Uzbekistan Temir Yollari announces tender for the purchase of modern electric trains

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan Temir Yollari is currently negotiating with leading global companies such as Stadler, Skoda, Talgo, Hyundai, CAF, Siemens, Alstom, Hitachi, Pesa, CRRC-Dalian about renewal of rolling stock, purchase of modern electric trains. The company announce a tender for purchase of modern electric trains. The tender envisages the supply of equipment necessary for the maintenance of electric trains, as well as training.

As a result of the purchase of 34 modern electric trains, it is planned to organize railway communication along 8 new routes. These are: Tashkent - Jizzakh - Tashkent, Tashkent - Keles - Tashkent, Navoi - Bukhara - Navoi, Samarkand - Jizzakh - Samarkand, Samarkand - Shakhrisabz - Samarkand, Samarkand - Karshi - Samarkand, Andijan - Khanabad - Andijan, Nukus - Khiva - Nukus. As a result of the introduction of railway communication on new routes, 5 million 925 thousand 500 passengers will be served per year.

Also. on 10 existing routes Tashkent-Khojikent-Tashkent, Tashkent - Angren - Tashkent, Namangan - Andijan - Namangan, Kokand - Andijan - Kokand, Tashkent - Gulistan - Tashkent, Tashkent - Bekabad - Tashkent, Termez - Sariasie - Termez, Karshi - Bukhara - Karshi, Bukhara - Khiva - Bukhara, Samarkand - Bukhara will run additional trains.

By establishing train traffic on new routes and organizing additional traffic on existing routes, quality service will be achieved for a total of 22 million 473 thousand 500 passengers a year.
