Uzbekistan Team Wins Two Special Awards at CASE-IN International Engineering Championship
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A student team from Uzbekistan’s Almalyk branch of NUST MISIS has achieved remarkable success in the finals of the International Engineering Championship CASE-IN, in the field of Metallurgy. The Uzbek team earned two special awards — for the “Best Video Presentation” and for a “Breakthrough Solution” to the case challenge.
The 2025 season of the competition brought together over 1,500 students and schoolchildren from dozens of countries, including BRICS and CIS states. The final, held in May, featured over 600 top participants who advanced through preliminary and semifinal rounds. In the Metallurgy category, Uzbekistan’s team earned an honorable third place in the Student League.
Launched in 2013, CASE-IN is the largest engineering competition platform among school students, university students, and young professionals from CIS and BRICS countries. The final case demanded high-level engineering skills, teamwork, and creative problem-solving.
The Uzbek team impressed the jury with their strong technical knowledge, practical solutions, and a dynamic presentation. Their performance reflected both depth and originality, earning well-deserved recognition.
A memorable cultural touch during the final was the team’s traditional Uzbek tubeteikas (skullcaps), which became a standout feature of their appearance — jokingly rated a “solid five out of five” by one of the event organizers.
