Uzbekistan takes 11th place in World Giving Index

Uzbekistan took the 11th place in the World Giving Index, which was published by Charities Aid Foundation (CAF).
The CAF World Giving Index measures the average percentage of people in each country who donate money, volunteer or help a stranger. This year, 140 countries were surveyed, representing around 96% of the world’s population.
According to the CAF report, about 52% of Uzbekistan participate in charity campaigns in various forms. At the same time, 67% of population of Uzbekistan ready to help the stranger (16the place).
CAF said that about 62% of citizens of Uzbekistan donate money (16th place) and 27% of citizens participate in volunteer work (40th place).
Myanmar is leading in the rating. The USA is on the second place, Australia – on the third place. China is on the last place (140th place).
