Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan has suspended flights with a number of African countries and Hong Kong since 3 December due to the spread of the omicron strain of the coronavirus COVID-19.

A special republican commission made an appropriate decision.

From 3 December 2021 to 10 January 2022, Uzbekistan suspends flights, including transit, with Hong Kong, as well as nine African countries - South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Madagascar, Lesotho, Eswatini and Tanzania.

Citizens of these states, stateless persons living in them, as well as citizens of third countries who have been in them for the last 14 days, will not be allowed into the territory of the country.
