Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan strongly condemned the terrorist act committed on 5 September 2022 in the immediate vicinity of the consular department of the Russian Federation in Kabul. This was stated by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.

“We strongly condemn the terrorist act committed on 5 September 2022 in the immediate vicinity of the consular department of the Russian Federation in Kabul, as a result of which the staff of the diplomatic mission and citizens of Afghanistan were killed,” the Uzbek Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan called for taking all necessary measures to identify the organizers and perpetrators of this inhuman action.

"We sincerely condole with the families and loved ones of the victims, and wish a speedy recovery to the injured," the Foreign Ministry said.

Two employees of the Russian Embassy in Kabul were reportedly killed in a terrorist attack near the consular section.
