Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers "On approval of the Concept of systemic propaganda activities to combat the spread of human immunodeficiency virus infection in the Republic of Uzbekistan, carried out with the activity of young people" was adopted.
The concept contains:
the main tasks and goals of promotional activities to combat the spread of human immunodeficiency virus infection in the Republic of Uzbekistan, carried out with the activity of young people;
information about the current state of HIV and existing problems;
the main directions of the fight against the spread of HIV;
The main objectives of the Concept:
reducing the spread of HIV in the population;
implementation of measures aimed at preventing the spread of HIV among the population, especially among young people;
increasing the coverage of explanatory work for different segments of the population, including among groups at increased risk of contracting HIV and relatives and friends of people infected with HIV;
formation among young people, especially adolescents, of a humane, noble attitude towards people with HIV when carrying out activities carried out to explain measures to avoid the spread of HIV;
maintenance of special various sites and blogs that systematically highlight the danger of HIV, etc.
The document also approved the "Roadmap" for the implementation in 2022 of the Concept of systemic promotional activities to combat the spread of human immunodeficiency virus infection in the Republic of Uzbekistan, carried out with the activity of young people. It includes:
a list of measures taken to prevent HIV infection;
mechanisms for the implementation of these activities;
deadlines;
sources of funding for activities;
list of responsible persons.
In total, the Roadmap provides for 23 events. Among them:
ensuring the study of the prevention of HIV infection, the correct diagnosis, as well as the means and methods of its treatment in a way that is not dangerous to human health;
establishing relationships and cooperation with foreign and international organizations to combat HIV;
increasing awareness of the HIV virus among all segments of the population, especially among rural residents;
increasing the coverage of checks for the early detection of HIV cases among the population, etc.
