Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – Uzbekistan starts the creation of the Trans-Afghan railway.
The map of the Mazar-i-Sharif-Kabul-Peshawar railway project was agreed upon by Pakistan, Uzbekistan and Afghanistan. Its length will be 600 km, the estimated cost is $5 billion.
The railway will open access for the countries of Central Asia to the ports of Pakistan. Thanks to this, goods from the region will be able to reach the oceans faster and cheaper.
According to Shavkat Mirziyoyev, "this railway will completely change the face of our regions."
