Uzbekistan, South Korea sign a memorandum on the development of cooperation in the field of transport and road infrastructure

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In order to further develop mutually beneficial cooperation with the Republic of Korea in the field of transport, logistics and digitalization, a working group headed by Deputy Minister of Transport Abdusamat Muminov visited the Republic of Korea on 11-14 April this year.

During this visit, negotiations were held with Deputy Minister of Land, Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Korea Jung Song Won, Executive Managing Director of Korea Expressway Corporation Chang-bong Lee, President of the Korean Overseas Infrastructure and Urban Development Corporation Kang Hoon Lee, General Director Korean Export-Import Bank Chung Kyu Park.

During the negotiations, an exchange of views took place on the implementation of joint projects on the terms of public-private partnership in the field of transport and road infrastructure, reforming the public transport system of our country using the Korean

The possibilities of attracting funds from Korean financial institutions in promising investment and grant projects were also discussed in detail, and specific plans for the future were identified.

As a result of the negotiations, memorandums were signed between the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Korea Expressway Corporation, a Korean corporation for the development of foreign infrastructure and cities in the field of transport and road infrastructure.
