Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Specialists of Uzbekistan today took part in a training webinar on smart water technology management, organized by the Central Asia-Republic of Korea Cooperation Forum and the International Center for Water Security and Sustainable Water Resources Management (UNESCO i-WSSM), Dunyo news agency reported.

During the event, a wide range of issues in the field of water supply and groundwater monitoring, as well as an exchange of experience on the implementation and use of information, communication and digital technologies in these sectors, using the example of the city of Seoul were discussed.

Experts from Uzbekistan and South Korea also exchanged assessments regarding the impact of climate change and the COVID-19 pandemic on the situation with water consumption and water supply. In their opinion, these trends contribute to an increase in the relevance of issues of widespread use of modern technologies in the field of water resources management.

As a result of the seminar, an agreement was reached to continue a series of events in this area and in the future to consider the possibility of implementing pilot projects in Uzbekistan.
