Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Opportunities for cooperation on a new basis of public-private partnership in the city of Kuvasay, Ferghana region, were discussed at a meeting at the Ministry of Energy.

 Representatives of POSCO International (Republic of Korea) and khokimiyats of Ferghana region and the city of Kuvasay discussed a project for the reconstruction of the district boiler house and the possibility of cooperation on its implementation on the basis of public-private partnership.

During the negotiations, the Korean side announced its intention to conduct a detailed study of the project in order to develop its feasibility study.

The Korean side also specified the possibility of signing a long-term contract for the purchase of generated electric energy.
