Uzbekistan, South Korea Discuss Joint Investments in Medicine and Industry

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 30 March, during a visit by a working group led by Uzbekistan’s Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade Ilzat Kasimov to South Korea, discussions were held with leading Korean companies.

Participants included the National Health Insurance Service of Korea and companies such as SK Bioscience, TKG Aikang, Saehan Elevator, and Cellpot.

The talks focused on key directions for modernizing Uzbekistan’s economy. Central topics included the development of the medical insurance system, localization of vaccine production, and the creation of a biotechnology cluster.

In the industrial sector, discussions covered upgrading water supply systems and establishing joint production of modern elevators and escalators.

Innovative approaches are also planned for agriculture, including the introduction of advanced agrotechnologies and the opening of seedling cultivation centers.

Korean expertise and investment are expected to serve as a key driver for technological growth and increased efficiency across these sectors.
