Uzbekistan slips seven places down in FIFA ranking

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- FIFA, a global football governing body, published new ranking of national teams on Thursday, 11 April 2013.

According to new ranking, Uzbekistan lost seven positions and now holds 66th place in the world. Uzbekistan has 521 points, Uzbekistan Football Federation said.

Uzbekistan is the fifth best team in Asia. Japan (29), South Korea (42), Australia (47) and Iran (56) are above Uzbekistan in new ranking.

Among the CIS states, Uzbekistan holds the third place after Russia (11) and Ukraine (37) in new FIFA ranking.

Spain tops the ranking, while Germany is on the second place. Argentina holds the third place in FIFA ranking.
