The Central Bank and the State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan adopted a resolution “On Amendments and Additions to the Regulations on Procedure for Import and Export of Cash in the National Currency of the Republic of Uzbekistan".

According to the document, imported and exported cash national currency, more than 50 sizes of the minimum wage (MWR), is subject to a written declaration. Earlier this figure was 5 MWR.

Citizens have right not declare a cash up to 50 MWR. If the amount exceeds 50 MWR, the person should obtain a permit.

Permission can be obtained from the Central Bank of Uzbekistan or its regional offices. The regulator will review the application within a period of not more than 10 days. Registration and issuance of permission is free.
