Uzbekistan showcases its products at Gulfood 2025

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From 17 to 21 February, a delegation from Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade participated in Gulfood 2025, the world’s largest food and beverage trade exhibition held in Dubai, UAE.

At the Made in Uzbekistan national pavilion, more than 40 leading Uzbek food and agricultural companies showcased their products. The exhibition featured fresh fruits and vegetables, dried fruits, nuts, legumes, natural juices, mineral water, and other eco-friendly goods. The stand attracted significant interest from importers, distributors, and retailers.

During the event, the Uzbek delegation held meetings with over 20 key retail and distribution companies from the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and other Gulf countries. Among the participants were major retailers such as Al Maya Group, Lulu, Carrefour UAE, Carrefour Saudi, Choithrams, and Grandiose Hypermarkets, as well as distributors including Americana Foods, Family Brands, Lootah Premium Foods, Safco International, and Barakat Quality Plus. Trade agents such as OBS Trading LLC, KP Foodstuff, Kainro World, Kamal Luthra General Trading LLC, and Al-Tayeb were also involved.

As a result of these negotiations, agreements were reached with Lulu and Al Maya Retail to establish “Made in Uzbekistan” trade zones within their outlets, featuring Uzbek products.

Additionally, within the business program, the delegation, led by Inomjon Abdurakhmanov, Head of the External Trade Department, held talks with KEZAD Group, Fujairah Free Zone, and Dubai Integrated Economic Zones, discussing opportunities for opening a distribution center, creating business incubators, and utilizing sorting and warehousing facilities for processing and exporting Uzbek goods to the region and Africa.

A key outcome of the discussions was an agreement with NOON, the Middle East’s largest e-commerce platform, to feature Uzbek products on the marketplace. The deal includes the use of bonded warehouses, private label (PL) supply chains, and export operations under B2B and B2C models.
