Uzbekistan Showcases Investment Opportunities at Tianshan Forum
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 2 December, Ilzat Kasimov, Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan, participated in the Tianshan Forum in Urumqi, focused on economic cooperation with Central Asian countries.
He spoke at the opening ceremony and at the session “Investing in Central Asia,” highlighting Uzbekistan’s economic policy priorities, ongoing reforms, and new opportunities for foreign investors in key sectors.
During the visit, meetings were held with representatives of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region government, Mongolia, and leadership of international financial institutions, including China Exim Bank, the New Development Bank (NDB), and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).
The discussions focused on financing promising projects, attracting investment, and expanding partnership opportunities.
Additionally, a working group meeting took place between the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan and the government of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region to advance trade and economic cooperation.
