Uzbekistan sets minimal rate for car renting

The minimal rates were set in line with resolution of the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov “On forecast of main macroeconomic figures and parameters of State Budget of Uzbekistan for 2014”.

The decision was adopted to prevent decreasing of tax base at renting automobiles.

Now the individuals should pay income tax (at the rate of 7.5%) at renting vehicles from the renting fee, but the tax sum should be not less than set minimal rate.

The rates are set for each car based on its type. The minimal rate for renting of cars makes u 220,000 soums per month and other transports means (micro-buses, buses and lorries) – 430,000 soums.
