Uzbekistan sends 170 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Turkiye

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan sent 170 tonnes of humanitarian aid to regions of Turkiye affected by devastating earthquakes. This was reported by the press service of the Turkish Embassy in Tashkent.

A humanitarian campaign was launched in Uzbekistan, which was initiated under the coordination of the Turkish Embassy in Uzbekistan. The project partners are the Future of Youth Foundation at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, the Uzbek-Turkish Business Association (UTİD), the Council for Foreign Economic Relations (DEIK), the Turkish-Uzbek Business Council, the Uzbek branch of the Association of Independent Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (MÜSİAD).

In particular, 45 tonnes of medicines and medical supplies, 8 tonnes of food, 90 tonnes of clothes, shoes, blankets, sleeping bags, baby diapers and hygiene products, 130 generators, 700 electric heaters and other necessary items were sent to Turkiye.

The humanitarian cargo was delivered to various regions of Turkiye on 6 cargo planes and 7 trucks. Fundraising is also ongoing.
