Uzbekistan Senate, Azerbaijan Audit Office Strengthen Ties

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Tanzila Narbayeva, held a meeting with the Chairperson of the Audit Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Vugar Gulmamedov.

During the dialogue, both sides emphasized the steady development of cooperation between the audit institutions of the two countries, noting that the previously signed Memorandum of Interaction plays a key role in strengthening ties and expanding experience exchange.

The participants discussed the role of parliamentary oversight and audit activities in ensuring effective implementation of state programs. Special attention was given to the formulation of national and regional budgets based on analytical data, the development of preventive recommendations to address shortcomings, digitalization of control systems, and implementation of anti-corruption mechanisms.

Both parties agreed to continue deepening cooperation, enhance the exchange of experience between the parliaments and audit offices of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan, and improve the efficiency of control and analytical work.
