Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 12 October 2020, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Tanzila Narbayeva met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Republic of Uzbekistan Yousef Saleh Algahrah Al-Otaibi.

At the beginning of the conversation, Tanzila Narbayeva congratulated Yousef Saleh Algahrah Al-Otaibi on his appointment as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Uzbekistan and the beginning of his diplomatic mission in our country.

During the dialogue, it was emphasized that the state visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev at the invitation of the Servant of the Two Holy Mosques - King of Saudi Arabia Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to this country on 17-18 August 2022 raised cooperation in bilateral relations to a higher quality level.

During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on the further expansion of trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian ties between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia.

It was noted that inter-parliamentary relations are an important factor in the development of bilateral relations, and in this regard, it is necessary to intensify cooperation between the friendship groups created in the parliaments of our countries and enrich them with practical results.

In particular, an agreement was reached to exchange experience, regularly organize visits of delegations of various levels, and also establish contacts between parliamentary committees.
