Uzbekistan, Russia’s Tyumen Region Explore Trade Expansion
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Odilkhan Rustamov, Acting Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, held a working meeting with a delegation from Russia’s Tyumen Region, including presidential advisor Vladimir Dolgushin and Director of the Center for Foreign Economic Activity Oksana Skrauch.
The discussions focused on deepening trade and economic ties between regional enterprises, expanding existing cooperation, and implementing new joint projects. Both sides expressed readiness to elevate the partnership through production cooperation and mutually beneficial interaction.
Key areas of collaboration include construction and design, electrical engineering, transport, mining and metallurgy, agriculture, and the food industry. Plans were also discussed to strengthen participation in the international industrial forum “INNOPROM. Central Asia,” scheduled in Tashkent from April 20–22, 2026.
The parties agreed to launch practical initiatives, develop joint investment and production projects, and reinforce long-term partnership between Uzbekistan and Tyumen Region.
