Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 17 October, the Ministry of Finance held the ceremony of signing the Memorandum on licensing and labeling of alcohol products between the Federal Service for Regulation of the Alcohol Market (Russian Federation) and the Inspectorate for Regulation of Alcohol and Tobacco Market under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The signing ceremony was attended by Deputy Minister of Finance Dilshod Sultanov, the head of the Federal Service for Regulation of the Alcohol Market of the Russian Federation - Igor Alyoshin, as well as senior officials of the Inspection for Regulation of Alcohol and Tobacco Market under the Ministry of Finance.

The document provides for cooperation in the following areas:

• conducting joint research on the production and turnover of alcoholic beverages;
• organization of expert advice on licensing and labeling, as well as the introduction of an automated information system for recording the volume of alcoholic beverages;
• cooperation in developing effective activities of the Parties through staff development, including through the organization of regular meetings and consultations between the relevant departments of the Parties, as well as joint training seminars and courses;
• exchange of scientific and technical information and methodological recommendations, research results and others;

To achieve their goals and implement areas of cooperation, the parties will form working groups.
