Uzbekistan, Russia sign documents for US$3.5bn
The document was signed at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Moscow within the preparation to the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Russia.
The delegation of Uzbekistan was led by the First Deputy Prime Minister Achilbay Ramatov, while the Russian side was headed by the Minister of Economic Development Maxim Oreshkin.
The sides signed 16 bilateral agreements, contacts and other documents in trade-economic and investment spheres for over US$3.5 billion.
Uzbekistan and Russian signed a memorandum on realization of project on developing vanadium-containing titan-Magnetite ores of the Tebinbulak field in Uzbekistan with the organization of steelmaking plant.
National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity of Uzbekistan, Gazprombank and Export-Credit Agency of Russia signed a framework agreement on co-financing of investment projects. Within the document, the sides will co-finance several projects in Uzbekistan.
Uzbekistan and Russian signed an agreement on construction of copper-enrichment complex on “on a turn-key” basis.
Asaka Bank and Gazprombank signed a framework agreement on cooperating in financing of the project on construction of metallurgy plant in Tashkent.
Uzbekistan and Russia signed an agreement on organization of joint production of agriculture equipment on the bases of Chirchiq Plant of Agriculture Equipment and other documents.
Representatives of Uzbekistan and Russian signed contracts on supply of fresh and processed fruits and vegetables to Russia for US$612 million. The sides signed a memorandum on supply of oil from Russia to Uzbekistan and the agreement on cooperation on supply of excavators.
During the visit of the Uzbek President to Uzbekistan to Russia, it is planned to sign a large package of documents.
