Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - On 19-20 February 2020, a delegation of the Federal Corporation for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises (SME Corporation), headed by Director General A. Braverman, paid a business visit to Tashkent to meet with the Minister of Economy and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan B. Khodjaev and Deputy Minister - Director of the Agency for the Development of Small Business and Entrepreneurship under the Ministry of Economy and Industry G. Mamatkulov. During the visit, the parties discussed the effectiveness of using state support tools for SMEs; representatives of the SME Corporation presented the capabilities of the SME Business Navigator Portal.
SME Corporation actively cooperates with the CIS countries on the development of instruments of state support for SMEs. So, in November 2019, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Agency for the Development of Small Business and Entrepreneurship and the SME Corporation.
The result of a business visit was the signing of a “road map”, one of the main areas of cooperation within which could be the localization of the services of the SME Business Navigator Portal in Uzbekistan. Implementation of the roadmap measures will allow expanding the access of small and medium enterprises to the support measures in force in Russia and Uzbekistan, and will also contribute to the development of cooperation between Russian and Uzbek entrepreneurs.
The signing of the roadmap was a logical continuation of the agreements reached between the SME Corporation and the Agency for the Development of Small Business and Entrepreneurship, in accordance with which cooperation is provided for in such areas as providing access for SMEs to the procurement of major companies, information and marketing support, and training programs in the field of entrepreneurship and the implementation of business processes, the exchange of experience in supporting entrepreneurship.
