Uzbekistan Resumes Passenger Flights to UAE and Saudi Arabia

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Transport has authorized the resumption of bilateral passenger flights to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia, effective March 10, 2026.

Official notices have been sent to national and foreign airlines, and photographs of the document have circulated on social media.

For flights to Saudi Arabia, the ministry emphasized that operations should take into account the conclusion of the Umrah season, and that all pilgrims must depart the country before the start of the Hajj 2026 season.

Authorities highlighted that flights must comply with aviation safety requirements, international air transport regulations, and procedures established by the competent authorities of Saudi Arabia and the UAE.

Earlier in March, travel to perform Umrah from Uzbekistan was temporarily suspended due to heightened tensions in the Middle East.

The resumption of flights is intended to facilitate safe passenger transportation and ensure that pilgrims can fulfill their religious obligations.
