Uzbekistan receives US$2 billion in remittances

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The volume of cross-border transfers received in Uzbekistan in January-April 2021 made up US$1.99 billion, the press service of the Central Bank of Uzbekistan reports.

According to the regulator, the growth of cross-border transfers received in Uzbekistan compared to the same period in 2020 made up US$663 million or 34%.

The volume of funds sent abroad reached US$478 million.

As a result, the positive balance on cross-border transfers was at the level of US$1.52 billion.
