Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan received the first mobile PCR laboratory from Germany. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan.
The laboratory was obtained within the framework of the project "Technical and organizational assistance of the Government of Germany to the health care system of Uzbekistan". The project was implemented with the support of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) and OPASCA GmbH.
The mobile laboratory allows you to share 1.5 thousand PCR tests per day. The laboratory can work up to 6 hours in the absence of electricity. It allows you to receive test results within an hour.
The mobile PCR laboratory will operate in remote and densely populated areas of the Samarkand region.
The head of the Service for Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health, Bakhodir Yusupaliev, noted that today there are about 200 permanent PCR laboratories in Uzbekistan. However, certain problems were in the full coverage of the population in remote areas.
The new mobile PCR laboratory and vaccination center will allow people to travel anywhere in the country and conduct an analysis for coronavirus, he added.
