Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The second batch of humanitarian cargo provided by the Global Jewish Assistance and Relief Network Foundation under the auspices of the World Congress of Bukharian Jews arrived at the Islam Karimov International Airport in Tashkent today, the Dunyo news agency reported.
The second batch included 137.2 thousand pieces of respiratory masks of the following names: N95 masks - 31.2 thousand pieces, KN95 - 4 thousand pieces and three-layer medical masks ASTMF2100 Level 1 - 102 thousand pieces.
In general, as part of the first and second consignments of humanitarian cargo, 271.6 thousand pieces of medical respiratory masks were delivered to Uzbekistan.
The cargo was sent in order to facilitate the creation of a fund of medical supplies for medical institutions in Uzbekistan in connection with the new waves and mutations of the coronavirus.
The delivery of the second consignment of cargo from New York to Tashkent was carried out with the financial support of our compatriot - Akmalzhon Jumaboev, director of the UMT GlobalLogistics LLC transport company for road haulage, who is successfully doing business in the United States.
The shipment was also formed and sent with the support of Uzbek diplomats from the Consulate General in New York and the Embassy in Israel.
In the near future, the received medical masks will be sent to the appropriate medical institutions of the republic.
