Uzbekistan Receives 44 Citizens Deported from the United States

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A charter flight carrying 44 Uzbek citizens deported from the United States arrived in Uzbekistan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reported.

The deportations were carried out due to the absence of legal grounds for their stay in the United States.

The flight, which arrived on January 21, was organized in close coordination with the relevant U.S. government authorities, ensuring the safe and timely return of Uzbek citizens to their homeland.

The ministry emphasized that the operation demonstrates the effectiveness of ongoing cooperation between Uzbekistan and the United States.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also noted that protecting the legal rights of Uzbek citizens abroad and facilitating their return remains a priority and will continue to be actively pursued.
