Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan received 1.2 million doses of Pfizer / BioNTech coronavirus vaccine. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan.

Currently, four vaccines against coronavirus are used in Uzbekistan - ZF-UZ-VAC2001, AstraZeneca, Sputnik V and Moderna. Pfizer / BioNTech will be the fifth vaccine used in Uzbekistan.

Uzbekistan received a total of 24,002,540 doses of vaccines, including:

• 1,342,480 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine,
• 18,000,000 doses of ZF-UZ-VAC2001 vaccine,
• 460,000 doses of Sputnik V vaccine,
• 3,000,060 doses of Moderna vaccine,
• 1,200,000 doses of Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine.

According to the Ministry of Health, over 16.86 million doses of the vaccine have been administrated in Uzbekistan. Over 3.12 million people are fully vaccinated.
