Uzbekistan Ratifies Investment Protection Treaty with Jordan

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan has signed a decree approving an international treaty with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on the mutual promotion and protection of investments.

The treaty was originally signed on 26 August 2025, in Samarkand during the official visit of King Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein to Uzbekistan.

Under the decree, the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade of Uzbekistan has been designated as the competent authority responsible for implementing the agreement. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is tasked with notifying the Jordanian side upon completion of all domestic procedures required for the treaty to enter into force.

Once the treaty takes effect, the Cabinet of Ministers and relevant agencies will monitor its implementation to ensure that all obligations of both parties are fully respected.
