Uzbekistan Ratifies Investment and Cooperation Agreements with Serbia
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a decree ratifying international agreements with Serbia on investment protection and economic cooperation.
The agreements, signed on 28 October 2025, in Tashkent, include a pact on the promotion and mutual protection of investments and a framework for developing economic cooperation between the governments of the two countries.
According to the decree, the Ministry of Investments, Industry, and Trade is designated as the competent authority responsible for implementing these international agreements. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan is required to notify Serbia of the completion of all domestic procedures necessary for the agreements to enter into force and to designate the agency responsible for their execution.
The ratification establishes a legal foundation for strengthening investment and trade-economic relations between Uzbekistan and Serbia, facilitating the implementation of joint projects and attracting foreign investment.
