Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to the State Statistics Committee, the resident population in the Republic of Uzbekistan as of 1 January 2022 exceeded 35.27 million people, an increase compared to the previous year by 712,400 people or by 2.1%.

Accordingly, the number of women increased by 346,600 people, or 2.0%, and men by 365,700eople, or 2.1%.

According to the United Nations Population Fund, as of 1 January 2021, the total population of the Earth was 7.87 billion people.

The Republic of Uzbekistan ranks 43rd among countries in terms of population.
